Manage an Environment
You can easily manage any CloudShare Environment from its Environment Details page.
The page provides a comprehensive, real-time view of a selected Environment, as well as a single location for performing various control activities.
Access the Environment Details Page

From the Infrastructure menu, click Environments List. The Environments list is displayed.

Use the various listing and filtering functions to locate the specific Environment you want to manage. When the list is long, you can also enter a few letters from the Environment name or Owner in the Search boxes to show only Environments that match.

Click the name of the desired Environment. The details page for that Environment will be displayed.
About Environment Details Page

Environment Name. The full name of the selected Environment. |

Status Bar. The current Environment state. The status bar is also updated in real time while an Environment is being prepared: The Environment can be accessed whenever the status Environment is ready appears in the status bar. |

Environment Details. Essential information about the Environment, such as Project, Region, Owner, Blueprint, etc, Clicking on a specific item displays related details for the selected item. |

Deletion Time. Displays the time remaining before the Environment is deleted. This time is determined by the Policy that is assigned for Environment. To quickly extend the duration time of the Environment, click Extend Environment. You can see date-based information about the Environment's duration by clicking Environment Timers, found in the Details section above. |

VMs List. A list of all the Virtual Machines defined for the Environment. Each VM item includes:

Environment Resources. Displays the RAM, Hard Disk and CPU allocations for the Environment. Only CloudShare resources for the Environment are displayed here. Resources for external clouds are maintained at the Project level. For more details, see Using External Resources Quotas. |

Actions Available for an Environment
Action buttons allow you to perform many basic control activities on the selected Environment, directly from the Environment Details page.
An action button may sometimes be disabled. The availability of an action will depend on the current status of the Environment and CloudShare operation logic. For example, in order to Resume an Environment, it must already be in Suspend status.
The Environment actions currently supported are:

View. View the complete Environment using the Environment Viewer.

Customize Viewer. Opens the Customize Environment Viewer page in a new browser tab.

Resume. Reactivates the Environment after it has been suspended.

Suspend. Stops any activity, stores the Environment in its current state and shuts down all of its resources.

Take Snapshot. Saves a complete replica of the Environment in its current state as a named backup that can be accessed later. For more details, see Take a Snapshot.

Revert. Enables the Environment to be restored to a backed-up Snapshot. For more details, see Snapshots.

Export VMs. Export and download the Environment as an OVF file to your cloud folder or to remote storage. For more details, see Exporting VMs and Environments.

Share. Provides a facility for sharing the Environment with other members of the current Project.

Extend Environment. Extends the Environment according to the terms of is assigned Environment Policy. For more details, see Creating and Managing Environment Policies.

Change Policy. Enables assigning a different Environment Policy to the Environment.

Archive. Ends runtime access to the Environment but maintains its storage lease, as defined by the current Environment Policy. For more details, see Creating and Managing Environment Policies.

Edit Environment. Displays an additional list of actions for editing various characteristics of the Environment: adding VMs, editing hardware, networks, user access, domains, descriptions, and other options.

Delete Environment. Completely removes the Environment from CloudShare.

Show/Hide My Cloud Folder. Enables or disables display of Cloud Folders for the Environment. For more details, see Cloud Folders.
