Getting Acquainted with CloudShare
After logging in, you'll have access to the CloudShare Main Menu as well as to the CloudShare Activity Overview home page.

Depending on the user Role you have been assigned, you'll be able to view, create and manage key CloudShare components such as Environments, Projects, Channels and Teams, as well as their various sub-components. (Learn more about each of these components and how CloudShare uses them together here.)
You can use the Activity Overview home page to quickly review and navigate to current activities for your account. This page also provides a Resource Consumption summary for the current month:

Consumption Summary |
This panel summarizes the current month's CloudShare resource consumption for each Project in the account. Alongside the actual consumption amounts (in parenthesis) you'll see the resource Quotas that have been set for the account. A number displayed in Red indicates that consumption for that resource has exceeded the Quota set for the current month. Activating the Show only channels checkbox will display the resource consumption according to Channel Projects. The selection dropdown at the top right of the panel enables you to choose additional summary columns to display, according to your needs. |
Current Systems Status |
Provides the status of CloudShare servers in real-time. Should your account's server Region be experiencing access or operational issues, it will be reported here. Clicking on this item will display the comprehensive status page, showing all current platform details as well a status history. |
You can access most of CloudShare's extensive functionality from the Main Menu, located on the left side of the browser window:
The Main Menu is organized into expandable sections, making it easy to find the function that you need, when you need it. Just click on a heading to reveal the section sub-menus, and click again to hide it.
When you become more familiar with CloudShare menus, you can choose to contract its text and show only its icons. This provides more room to work with details on various CloudShare pages. Whenever the Main Menu is contracted, you can quickly see the sub-menu texts by hovering over any item, as shown below.
Finally, if there's a CloudShare sub-menu that you use frequently, you can choose to Pin it, making it visible at the top of the Main Menu all of the time. To unpin the sub-menu from the top, simply click the Pin icon again.
