Azure Storage Sync
What is Azure Storage Sync?
Azure Storage Sync allows you to easily sync between your Cloud Folder in CloudShare to your Azure folder. This way you can deliver your resources (e.g. SharePoint files) from the development environment in CloudShare to the Azure environment and use it there.
This makes working in both environments easier to move from development to production.
How to use Azure Storage Sync?
This is very easy and consists of 2 simple steps:
1. Configuration
Once you are a CloudShare registered user, you have your own Cloud Folder. Click on the ‘Cloud Folder’ tab and you will see the following page:
Update the Azure Storage Sync fields the following information:
- Azure Storage account domain - this is taken from the Azure storage interface, for example: http://johndoe.blob.core.windows.net/
- Azure Storage account secret key - this is taken from the Azure storage interface, for example: ‘zRqfHZIuVKq3NiF5qyk/DKSpVBmvzF4MznEjdRJKeSZfA4s0f3uQIZbVkRvoyGlGT6oW6SZObly+Un6YbqbZig==’
For your convenience, we also suggest updating the folder name fields:
- Upload to Azure folder name – this is the name of the folder that will be used in order to upload files from your private Cloud Folder to your Azure storage.
- Download from Azure folder name – This is the name of the folder that will be used in order to download files from your Azure storage to your private Cloud Folder.
Enter the relevant information and click ‘Save Setting and Sync’. This will trigger the first sync.
1. Running the sync
You only need to set the configuration once and then you can begin syncing your folders.
Click on the one of the 3 optional buttons to sync your folders in one direction or both.
