How to restart Windows Server 2012

I’ve been asked this question many times so I decided to make a quick guide for restarting Windows Server 2012.

  • Open Windows Server 2012


  • Click on Windows PowerShell


  • Type the Sconfig command and click on Enter. Sconfig is a wonderful cmdlet that saves time by unifying most usable server configuration options in one place.


  • Choose option 13: Restart Server


  • Click on Yes
