SharePoint Server 2013 RTM Cannot Find SQL Server 2012
I have a SharePoint 2013 Small Farm set up and I am running into issues enabling apps for SharePoint as well as enabling the Search Service Application. Both issues seem to be caused by the SharePoint Server being unable to contact the SQL Server in the farm.
The error I receive from the Search Application is as follows:
"The search service is not able to connect to the machine that hosts the administration component. Verify that the administration component 'xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx' in search application 'SearchServiceApplication' is in a good state and try again."
The administrative component seems to be on SQL Server 2012 within the farm, yet it seems it cannot be found. Enabling apps fails for the same reason.
Can anybody help me figure out how to get SP 2013 to communicate with SQL Server? Thanks.
