Ethernet Adapter missing after upgrade from 2003R2 to 2008
I started out with a Windows Server 2003 R2 template and upgraded it to Windows Server 2008 (not R2 -- and there are only 2008 R2 templates).
Now it can't find a driver for the Ethernet adapter. I believe it can be fixed http://networkadminkb.com/KB/a123/how-to-install-vmxnet-network-adapter-driver-vms-esx-server.aspx but I don't have access to that. Nor even this: https://support.cloudshare.com/hc/en-us/articles/200701925-Machine-is-not-connected-to-a-network

hey there, not sure why you'd do that when you can just create a template. Weird, can you revert to a snapshot? Coz it sounds like you might have killed the nic for that machine.
This might work for you:

but still, sorry dude, not hopeful :-(
