How do I add a client machine to a Domain?

Hello,

I have a 'misconfigured users' error and the Snapshot link is grayed out.

  Hello Dan,

  The Snapshot functionality is automatically disabled when you have misconfigured users on at least one of your VMs. I checked your environment and it looks like you have added a Windows 7 machine to a domain through the CloudShare UI, but not in the OS of that machine itself.

  You will need to add this VM to the domain in the OS before changing the 'Edit environment > Edit Domains' setting in CloudShare. Please follow this guide on how to add a machine to a domain.   

  Alternatively, here are the simplified steps: 

  In the Operating System of the machine you wish to add to the domain:
  
  1. change the preferred DNS address of the machine you wish to add to the domain, to the IP address of your Domain Controller

  

  1. under Computer Properties, switch from Workgroup to Domain and input your domain name

  

  1. click OK and log into the domain with an account that has access to that domain

  

  1. click OK on success message and reboot the machine

  

   

  In the CloudShare application:
  
  5. add the machine to your domain

  

  1. select machine, add and confirm changes

  

  1. save changes

  

  1. designate an account to automatically log in with (or disable auto-login) and save changes

  

  1. take a Snapshot

  Should anyone need them, I have attached the fullsize screenshots here as the ones above are not entirely clear.
