Thanks for getting in touch Sid.  Right now your best option would be to use one of our pre-windowed VMs such as the Ubuntu 10.4 and Xubuntu 8 templates as.  They may not have as much functionality as the CentOS templates, however are ready to go without the initial extra work of installing a GUI.  Hopefully this will match your testing needs for the time being.

We are currently working on expanding our Linux templates to offer a wider choice.

    Hi Scott,

I decided to stay with the CentOS 6 VM and am looking forward to a new VM template that includes a GUI.  After enabling web access on the CentOS VM, I'm unable to browse it receiving Web Access Error.  I opened ports 80, 8080, 443 on IPTABLES and installed httpd as well.  What additionial conifg work must be done to ensure that web access works, as this will be critical to client's ability to view project progress.

    Thanks,

    Sid

    Hey Sid,

To make sure everything is connecting properly, can you try pining the internal IP of the CentOS box from one of the other VMs in your environment.  If that's successful, try using the external address (pubn-nn.env.cloudshare.com) instead of the Web Access URL and let us know how it goes.  As a side note, we also have the following ports open for Web Access: 3695 and 8000-8010.

    Thanks,

    Scott
