Assignment of multiple Instructors to a class is currently available only to selected customers. For more information about access to this feature, contact CloudShare Support.
Once a class is created, you can add Instructors and send them an email invitation to the class.
A class always has a Lead Instructor, typically the first Instructor that is assigned during class creation. All environments for the class, along with all usage analytics, will be assigned to the Lead Instructor.
By default, all Instructors for a class can perform the same activities for that class, for example:
viewing and editing the Class Details page;
accessing the Instructor Console;
customizing the Viewer; and
using collaboration features.
Adding an Instructor
Any user with permission to create or edit a class can add an Instructor to the class. Up to 20 Instructors can be added to any class.
Go to Training > Classes. The Classes list is displayed.
Locate the class for which you want to add an Instructor. If the list is long, you can use any of the search, sort or filter options to help you find the relevant class.
Click the Name of the desired class. The Class Details page will be displayed for that class.
At the right of the page, in the Participants panel, click the Instructors tab.
At the bottom of the panel, click the Add Instructor button:
The Add Instructor to Class popup will be displayed:
From the Instructor dropdown menu, select an Instructor you want to add to the class.
The First name and Last name of an Instructor will be filled in automatically.
By default, the Send invite email now checkbox is selected to immediately notify the new Instructor about the class. If you do not want to send a notification now, you can deselect this checkbox.
You can also invite an Instructor later, using the Invite Selected feature.
Optionally select the Disable environment creation checkbox to prevent the new Instructor from being able to add a new environment.
When finished, click Add Instructor. The Instructor will be added to the Instructors list.
Repeat the Steps 5 through 9 for each Instructor you want to add to the class.
Inviting Instructors to a Class
You can manually send an email invitation (or resend an email invitation) to one or more Instructors for the class using any of the following methods:
Click Email at the right of the specific Instructor to immediately send the currently prepared email.
Use the checkboxes at the left of the panel to select the Instructor(s) to invite, or select the checkbox located above the Instructors list to invite all Instructors. Then, at the bottom the Instructors panel, click Invite Selected. The invitation email(s) will be sent immediately.
A red dot on the Email icon indicates that no email invitation has been sent to the Instructor from CloudShare. A green dot on the icon indicates that an email invitation has already been sent from CloudShare.
Removing Instructors from the Class
You can remove an Instructor from a class anytime before the class begins.
Remove one or more Instructors from the class using any of the following methods:
The Lead Instructor for a class (marked with the icon next to the name) cannot be changed or deleted.
Click Delete at the right of the specific Instructor you want to delete. A confirmation message will appear. Click Delete to confirm.
Use the checkboxes at the left of the panel to select the Instructor(s) for deletion, or select the checkbox located above the Instructors list to delete all Instructors. Then, at the bottom the Instructors panel, click Remove Instructors. A confirmation message will appear. Click Remove to confirm.
