Run the Connectivity & Speed Test
If you notice a drop in your connection speed or general performance, you can use the Remote Access Test page to ensure that your system currently meets minimum access requirements for using CloudShare.
Click this link to perform connection testing: CloudShare Test Page.
- From the dropdown list, select the relevant Data Center for your connectivity tests. Testing will begin immediately:
Note
If your environment is not deployed in the US Data Center, testing will be run on one of the following URLs:
Singapore: https://use.cloudshare.com/Ent/Machine.mvc/testpage#/?region=sing
Amsterdam: https://use.cloudshare.com/Ent/Machine.mvc/testpage#/?region=ams - In the Speed Test portion of the panel, click Run. The test will produce the following results for analysis:
Bandwidth - is the performance speed of your connection measured during the test. In the example above, 2770.59 Kb per second.
Latency - (also called 'ping') is the time it takes for a test data packet to make the roundtrip from your computer to our servers and back again. In the example above, 95 milliseconds. - To optionally test for current Packet Loss value, copy the relevant command for your system and enter it at a local command terminal prompt. The Packet Loss value shows whether any test packets data failed to reach their destination.
A successful transmission will show 0% loss.
To use CloudShare's technology, the required minimum bandwidth for one RDP session is 150 Kbps.
